Timelines Established for New Standards

Governor Brown signed legislation establishesing timetables for developing curriculum frameworks (AB 250) and supplemental instructional materials (SB 140) aligned with the recently adopted Common Core State Standards. Additionally, Brown signed a bill to create a committee charged with revising the state’s science standards (SB 300), which will be based on the multi-state Next Generation Science Standards.
