California Postpones School Improvement Grants

The U.S. Department of Education approved a waiver for California to postpone allocations of the second round of School Improvement Grants (SIG) until the start of the 2012-13 school year. The State Board of Education requested the waiver after the California Department of Education reported that none of the schools that applied for the grants met the criteria for funding.
